Our Story
About
In essence, the mission of Blessing Sent is to humbly provide a safe community for believers where criticism is replaced by encouragement, loneliness is replaced by support, and unbelief is replaced by the truth as found in God's Word. It is our prayer that we have the privilege of joining together with everyone in our pursuit of glorifying God in everything that is said and done. It is important for us to unite as a body of believers regardless of possible differences we may have with one another. We desire to support one another, however we can, to encourage each other through the Word of God and Prayer. Through Blessing Sent and the products we share, we desire to glorify God, unite the Body of Christ, encourage anyone who is fighting a battle, and seek the Truth together.
The Heart Behind the Ministry
How Blessing Sent Began
Blessing Sent was technically birthed in the heart of an 8-year-old little girl, swinging under a cedar tree. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior, and a fire was lit in her that could not be snuffed out.
From that young age Susan decided to combine her love for God and for singing together, while in pursuit of full-time ministry.
After High School and attaining a Bachelor's Degree in Music from Newberry College, Susan married and entered full-time ministry with her husband, Bill Mytko. They learned quite a bit through traveling and evangelism, as well as serving in their local church. Bill would preach and Susan would sing — and together they witnessed miracles that resulted from prayer the power of prayer and the Word of God.
In an effort to fund various ministry opportunities, as well as the ability to be a stay-at-home mom with her two children, the small online business called Blessing Sent was born. It began as scripture-embroidered baby blankets, gift baskets, and Christian T-shirts — and those such blessings were always being sent.
Bill and Susan Mytko have continued to minister for the duration of their 30+ years of marriage, with Blessing Sent as always a nearby work in progress. Along the way, Susan met an amazingly seasoned, gifted artist and graphic designer, Marti Rogers. Their meeting was definitely an arrangement by God and served as a means to bring to life the numerous ideas that are at the heart of Blessing Sent. Together, Susan and Marti have used their collaboration of creativity as a life source for the products Blessing Sent has had to offer.
Throughout the years of ministry, Bill and Susan recognized the need for a safe, faith-based community of believers— for fellowship, companionship, and camaraderie. After struggling with debilitating health issues for the past 10 years, it has seemed fitting that we launch the new Blessing Sent online shop. It is our hope that you are blessed and encouraged by the products that Blessing Sent has made available. Every item is designed to inspire, encourage, and increase faith.
